Music by James Iha. 21 Tracks.Spring Days: Go Hyun-Jung (Sandglass), one of the original Korean TV drama megastars, returns after a ten-year hiatus for the eagerly anticipated mini-series Spring Days. With the combined star power of Go Hyun-Jung, plus Ji Jin-Hee (Dae Jang Geum, Love Letter) and Jo In-Sung (Something Happened in Bali), Spring Days is definitely not your ordinary K-drama series!

Loosely adapted from the popular Japanese drama, Heaven's Coins, Spring Days tells the gripping story of Suh Jung-Eun (Go Hyun-Jung), an elusive beauty who has suffered a trauma so great that she loses the will to speak. Go Eun-Ho (Ji Jin-Hee) is the doctor who helps Jung-Eun find a way to overcome her past. But just when her gratitude! starts to blossom into love, fate cruelly intervenes, leaving! Eun-Ho in a coma. At the hospital Jung-Eun meets Eun-Ho's stepbrother Eun-Sup (Jo In-Sung), who is also a doctor. Despite his best intentions, Eun-Sup finds himself powerless to resist Jung-Eun. Latent rivalries and misunderstandings come to a boil as the two brothers vie for Jung-Eun's affection.

Featuring an all-star cast and a compelling story, Spring Days is a highly acclaimed 20-episode K-Drama for all seasons.

Someday: Hana Yamaguchi (Bae Doo-Na, The Host) is a successful young cartoonist. Although she writes romantic comics, she is analytical and pessimistic about love. Nicknamed the "Love Analyzer," Hana sees love as a simple biological response. But when her cartoon is discontinued, she sets off on a journey to discover what love really is. A Korean TV drama with a touch of animation, Someday tells the story of three people's journey into the crazy world of love.

The first Korean drama to integrate animation and live action, So! meday is like no drama that has come before. Through outstanding cinematography and visual design, this groundbreaking drama beautifully lenses Korea's contemporary urban landscape and peeks into the moody, imaginative world of a comic book artist. Written by movie screenwriter Kim Hee Jae (Hanbando), a "movie-like drama" with top-end production values, Someday features film star Bae Du Na (The Host), drama favorite Kim Min Joon (Lovers in Prague, Damo), and rising stars Lee Jin Wook and Oh Yoon Ah from Alone in Love. In contrast with its fanciful images, the drama stays candid and grounded in its exploration of modern relationships and romance, presenting a story that is both painfully realistic and longingly lighthearted.

Although Korean-Japanese cartoonist Yamaguchi Hana (Bae Du Na) has found great success with her romantic comic books, she herself doesn't believe in love. Raised by her grandmother, she is content to live in her own world of writing and drawi! ng, but one day her comic gets discontinued. Unceremoniously t! hrown ba ck into the real world, Hana travels to Seoul where she meets Kim Seok Man (Lee Jin Wook), a kind-hearted private investigator with a tragic past, and Go Jin Pyo (Kim Min Joon), a doctor and ardent comic fan who observes life with a detached eye. As Hana retraces the tragic love story of her elderly neighbors with Seok Man and Jin Pyo's help, she realizes that she herself is experiencing love for the first time.

This edition comes with making of, interviews, trailers, music video, and other special features.Country Princess:
Acclaimed Korean actress Bae Doo Na (The Host, Someday) delights audiences with the heartwarming TV drama Country Princess. Famous across Asia for both her small and big screen works, Bae brings her quirky charm to the role of a spunky single mother coping with some big changes. Luckily, she gets some help from rock star Shin Sung-woo and Korean Wave heartthrob Gang Dong-won (Duelist).

Eun-hee (Bae Do! ona) might not be very beautiful or smart, but her upbeat attitude can get her through anything, including her father's death, her mother's coldness, and life as a young mother. When a rich man shows up on the doorstep looking for his long-lost granddaughter, it's Eun-hee's sister (Kim Yu-mi, Romance) who gets whisked away, leaving Eun-hee to carry the household.

Eun-hee takes everything in cheerful stride, but will she be able to smile when she finds out the truth behind her identity?

A Reason to Believe

DOROTHY HAMILL 8x10 COLOR PHOTO

  • Description: High Quality real photograph printed on Fuji Paper.
  • Size: 8x10 inches
The dazzling smile, the signature haircut, the staple spin. "America's Sweetheart" Dorothy Hamill grew up on the ice, working toward the dream she was to accomplish by age nineteen: winning Olympic gold in figure skating. But life was not the picture of perfection it appeared to be. Dorothy faced a painful inner struggle from the time she was a young girl that followed her into adulthood -- though she would not know about the depression that ran in her family until much later in life. Weeks and months away from home to train and compete took a difficult toll, yet little reprieve could be found in the tumultuous and fragile relationship she had with her parents.

Dorothy went on to marry the man of her dreams, only to have the partnership end in heartache and a tragedy that almost pushed her to her br! eaking point. Then, just when a light at the end of the tunnel finally began to appear, a second failed marriage tried and tested Dorothy's trust and strength yet again -- a travesty that could have led her to give up. But, she found a remarkable strength in what she did have -- her greatest love, her daughter Alexandra.

"Thank goodness, I had my skating. There was certainly a pattern to my life. When times were tough, I went skating. It was only while I was out on the ice, enjoying the freedom of movement and my love of music, that I was able to escape from my bottomless heartache."

In her deeply moving and honest memoir, Dorothy opens up for the first time about love, family, courage, and what it means to truly win both on and off the ice.The dazzling smile, the signature haircut, the staple spin. Author Heather McPhaul has crafted a charming coming of age tale in her debut novel about a family struggling to get by in rural West Texas in the 70s. Twelve-year-old Lindy Logan’s life is one long uphill struggle-she is a figure of ridicule at school and greatly overshadowed at home by her pretty kid sister, Jo. Lindy’s charismatic Momma has watched her own dreams of stardom turn to dust and s! truggles to adjust to a life of menial work and frugality. The! n traged y strikes and Momma and the girls are forced to re-examine their lives.

From Texas Columnist Glenn Dromgoole
This debut novel revolves around 12-year-old, soon to be 13, Lindy Logan who desperately seeks her mother's approval and love but never can quite figure out how to get it. A big part of the problem has to do with her 8-year-old sister, Jo, who is obviously Momma's favorite, even if Jo is so weird that she talks to her Fruit Loop People. McPhaul has penned a novel with characters who come to life on the page. I wouldn't be surprised some day to see Raggedy Ann Heart as a movie. It's that good, with a powerful storyline and plenty of drama and humor.

From TCM Reviews
A heartwarming novel by Heather McPhaul. It is the story of two sisters who do not get along but in the end they want the same thing, their mother’s love. Both 12-year-old Lindy and her little sister Jo’s worlds change the day their mother gets sick. To cope, the girls ! find hope and escapism in the classic movies which their mother loves.

Raggedy Ann Heart qualified as a finalist in Young Adult Fiction for the 2009 Next Generation Indie Book Awards and Indie Excellence Awards.

During the Depression, a young farm girl travels by hopping trains. She meets and falls in love with a union organizer. They make their living robbing trains and living on the outskirts of the law.
Genre: Feature Film-Action/Adventure
Rating: R
Release Date: 11-JAN-2005
Media Type: DVDMartin Scorsese was just another college film school grad with a student feature under his belt when producer Roger Corman tapped him to direct AIP's entry in the Bonnie and Clyde craze. Barbara Hershey stars as the real-life depression era orphan of the title, a charming, cheeky young woman who tramped the Deep South with a union organizer (David Carradine), a dandified New York con man (Barry Primus), and a blues-playing mechanic (Bernie Casey), turning her motley band into train-robbing outlaws. Scorsese was anxious to show his chops on a real Hollywood feature and does so admirably (if impersonally) with rough-and-ready style. If the rebellious spirit and social message behind the sex and violence is more Corman than Scorsese, the film references ("Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain," Bertha tells a customer while working at a cathouse) and often inventive direction are pure Scorsese. --Sean Axmaker Carla Moran awakens one night to find herself being assaulted by an unseen presence. • New York psychologist Dr. Bill Capa, haunted by the bizarre suicide of a patient, abandons his successful practice and relocates to Los Angeles. From the novel of the same namewhich has sold over one million copies in 43 languagesthis "sophisticated adaptation of Marguerite Duras' best-selling memoirs" (Variety) smolders on the screen. "Masterfully acted and beautifully photographed" (Critics' Choice), The Lover brilliantly captures the essence of sexual awakening and forbidden desire like no other film has donebeforeor since. Jane March is mesmerizing in the role of a poor French teenager who engages in an illicit affair with a wealthy Chinese ! heir (Tony Leung) in 1920s Saigon. For the first time in her young life she has control, and she wields it deftly over her besotted lover throughout a series of clandestine meetings and torrid encounters. But though the lovers are able to transcend their differences in age, race and class'theirs is a future that French colonial Vietnamese society will never allow.Lovely to look at, this story reveals little more than the characters' nude bodies. Like couples whose only attraction is physical, this has little to offer once it leaves the bedroom. We never learn the interests or inner workings of the lovers in question. They become nothing more than attractive bodies, which makes this little more than a shallow exercise in sexuality. The story is based on the controversial, and supposedly autobiographical, bestseller by experimental French novelist Marguerite Duras. It tells the story of a young French schoolgirl who becomes sexually involved with a sophisticated, older Asian ! man. Set in Indochina in the late 1920s, this is stunningly ph! otograph ed and artfully directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud. That said, the lack of a more satisfying plot means this is merely tastefully produced soft porn. --Rochelle O'Gorman Haunted by the bizarre suicide of a patient, New York psychologist Dr. Bill Capa abandons his successful practice and relocates to L.A., but his encounters there prove as shocking as the chilling event he has run away from, and he immediately finds himself entangled in an explosive sexual relationship with a beautiful but enigmatic woman named Rose, and the investigation into the brutal stabbing murder of a friend and colleague, Dr. Bob Moore. A moth drawn to a flame, Dr. Capa is lured to Rose by his sexual cravings, and he discovers this woman has the power to fulfill his most reckless erotic fantasies. Yet, the more she satisfies him, the more he finds himself enslaved by her manipulation and control. As Capa gets closer to identifying the killer of his patient, Rose becomes an equally tantalizing myst! ery that he must solve -- if he can stay alive long enough to avoid a lunatic murderer who is stalking him.Psychological twists and turns strangle the plot of this disappointing effort from the director of The Stunt Man, Richard Rush. Emotionally damaged psychiatrist Bruce Willis leaves his practice behind and moves to LA when a patient commits suicide in front of him. Out of the goodness of his broken heart, he takes over the practice of a murdered colleague (Scott Bakula). Jane March is the needy but mysterious woman who literally crashes into his life, making sexual advances the good doctor soon reciprocates. What March seems to need most, however, is underwear. The plot and the dialogue vacillate between silly and inane, leaving us with some so-so sex and overblown performances. This could explain why it was the winner of the 1995 Razzie Award for Worst Picture. If you want a more effective thriller that delves into damaged psyches, take another look at Alfred Hi! tchcock's Vertigo. --Rochelle O'Gorman
